Warren, who has now been fired, went viral for questioning why a student thought JK Rowling was transphobic.
In the exchange, he asked the student to articulate specific reasons and cite evidence which made the student admit their stance could use more thought.
Schools firing teachers who promote critical thinking is one of many reasons why so many students graduate unable to form cohesive arguments and acting like mindless NPCs.
Teachers like Warren can be a part of the solution if schools grow a spine.

7 days ago I was fired from my school after 4 years of teaching.
I recorded this the following day in order to share my perspective - honestly & in good faith - in order to move forward and put this experience behind me. I have no desire to cause complications or bring unwanted attention to the school, so I will not divulge anything beyond that. It is important to me to be able to speak truthfully and honestly about one of the most challenging periods in the story of my life, in order to move onto a new chapter. I hope all can respect one another's privacy, freedom of speech, & treat each other with dignity - especially during such times.
Sorry, but they need to be sued, hard. This kind of thing just has to stop. We can't have a civilized society when people feel entitled to do this for ideological reasons. Totalitarianism is built with these bricks, one brick at a time. They are trying to make an example of you to discourage rational thought and independent reason. You need to make an example of them now. It's their fault.
