Trying to scare/bully Congress to agree to a ten-day audit so the country can trust the election outcome is literally the opposite of an insurrection. It would be more accurate to say Congress was the insurrection and the mob tried, and failed, to force a transparent election.

Much of the public has been brainwashed into believing that asking for 10 days to do an election audit for the benefit of all citizens is "overturning the election." It is closer to the opposite of that.

Censorship is the tool used when LIES lose their power..

Conrad Black@ConradMBlack

This will be the second impeachment proceeding where a full transcript exists exonerating the president.

Michael Tracey@mtracey

Does anyone seriously think that if Trump had won the election (only came down to 42,918 votes in three states) there wouldn't have been widespread claims of fraud, wild conspiracies, Electoral College challenges, and huge protests in DC that could be said to "incite" violence

RBe@RBPundit

"Oh those poor Congressmen!!!"

Store owners were hiding in refrigerators as their stores were looted and burned by people incited by the Democrats who are impeaching Trump today.

thebradfordfile™@thebradfordfile

There was no 'insurrection', just a few lunatics and leftists mixed in with peaceful protesters.

Matt Walsh@MattWalshBlog

If Trump's speech on Wednesday rises to the level of "incitement" then many Democrats are guilty of the same during the BLM riots. How about this deal: all of the Dems guilty of "incitement," by their own standard, resign. Then we'll listen to the impeachment case against Trump.

Reverend Doctor Jill Biden Derek Hunter@derekahunter

For the record, @RepRaskin  objected to the Electoral College certification of the 2016 election. One of his first acts in Congress was, by his own admission now, undemocratic. Pelosi appointed him as a House Manager on impeachment yesterday.

Joel Pollak@joelpollak

Once again, Democrats are impeaching Trump for what they did!

In House impeachment debate, GOP Rep Jordan noted that Dems running debate today objected to Electoral College certification in 2017. Dem Rep McGovern, a 2017 objector, responded that that was just 'a protest vote' and 'none of us pushed conspiracy theories.'

Rich "The People's Pundit" Baris@Peoples_Pundit

Talk about foreign interference...

The impeachment leader @ericswalwell  was sleeping with a Chinese spy and the @senatemajldr  betraying his own president got rich in office because of his ties to China.

It would be funny if it wasn’t so serious.

“Joe Biden has hired at least 14 current or former executives from five major tech firms... Apple, Google, Amazon, Twitter and Facebook... all clamped down this week on President Trump and Parler...”

No conflict of interest for American democracy here.

People at the New York Times lost their jobs over @SenTomCotton’s op-Ed about sending troops to quell domestic violence and now his solution will become public policy in DC.

Censorship, wokeness, political correctness, it all points in one direction – authoritarianism, cloaked as moral righteousness. It’s not who we are as Americans. It’s time that we simply put woke-ism to sleep.

This is a good choice in the sense that as the head of USAID, an agency *ostensibly* devoted to assisting other countries, Samantha Power can work to repair the damage to all the countries she helped destroy the last time she was in government with her unhinged militarism:
